Google rich snippets making SERP more than just the heap of links

Yes, until recently search engine results page (SERP) was only a crowd of links with little descriptions that was not believed by us as valuable descriptions. This might have been noticed by Google and it has now thought to present its users with snippets - short summery of the content of a site. Thanks to Google! But nowadays we are hearing something little different – Google rich snippets! What is this all about?

Google says it is going to apply its algorithm that will show convenient summery with the search results. It will try to show the product or service related reviews with links in the SERP. At the same time the individual with same name can be made identical! • Issue for sites with huge review: Google rich snippets will not allow any injustice to the sites with huge amount of reviews or ratings. Google says that it is going to apply review aggregate to summarize all the review information. By typical aggregate type based on ‘review count, average, minimum/maximum ratings, etc it will prepare the snippets. So rich snippet is going to be really “rich”.

Well these are some of the factors that help in preparation of the Google rich snippets. It is again true that the Team Google has said that the process is still in research and development level and slowly several other functionalities are going to come out for sure. Well, we should remember that Google requests all the webmasters to prepare RDFa markups to help the Google prepare the snippets. But this does not mean that your site get better result in SERP! Again in application of the Google rich snippets Google will allow several types of micro format encodings too. Finally, we can wait and watch as a lots of research work is going on. Google promises to come up with some vocabulary on language of object types and properties that will enable the applications understand things better and help in making Google rich snippets better in future.
