Google says it is going to apply its algorithm that will show convenient summery with the search results. It will try to show the product or service related reviews with links in the SERP. At the same time the individual with same name can be made identical! Onlinewebdirectory, a directory for every web design company and all other businesses, tries to keep it’s visitors ever updated on latest happening on webmaster affairs like Google rich snippets. Let us have a look on what the thing is:
- Convenient summery with links: Now onwards Google will not necessarily show what is found with the meta description. It says that the search results will contain the snippet rather Google rich snippet that matches with the search queries. And Google search engine will apply special algorithm to pull this rich snippet.
- Priority to reviews & ratings: Before the application or implementation of the Google rich snippets the snippet used to be any content relevant with the purpose of the site! But now onwards the snippets will contain the user reviews, ratings if the site is all about the services or the products. So at a glance a common user can get the idea on a site without clicking or visiting the site. At the same time it can be said that the users will tend to visit your site if they find the strong, positive reviews or comments about your products or the services.
- Issue for sites with huge review: Google rich snippets will not allow any injustice to the sites with huge amount of reviews or ratings. Google says that it is going to apply review aggregate to summarize all the review information. By typical aggregate type based on ‘review count, average, minimum/maximum ratings, etc it will prepare the snippets. So rich snippet is going to be really “rich”.
Thanks for posting. I've heard a lot about the snippets lately but didn't understand what they meant. Any idea how this is going to affect seo and keyword/meta tags in regards to searches? Will the snippets take priority over titles or keywords in their algorithm? thanks
